NBA vs EPL Drew Maletich           The National Basketball Association is widely regarded as one of the richest sports leagues in the United States. Since the leagues creation is 1949 it has evolved to be the highest paying sports league in the world as of 2023. The NBA's main streams of revenue come from broadcasting deals, sponsorships, tickets, and merchandising. The revenue from the league is shared equally amongst the league, and is used to create a soft salary cap for each team. In 2023, the NBA earned 10.58 billion dollars in revenue. While the league is most popular in the US, it should be noted that the NBA has the largest international influence of the four major sports in the US. The association earned around 715 million dollars from non-US media rights during the 2023 season. Salary Caps: MLB vs EPL By Alex Cabo      Major League Baseball "MLB" is North America's highest level of professional baseball.  It is one of the major league sports with teams in both Canada and the Unites States.  It consists of 30 teams, split into 2 divisions the National League (NL) and the American League (AL) with 15 teams in each.  The leagues were formed in 1876 and 1901 and joined together in 1903.  Teams play a total of 162 regular season games, and then 6 teams advance to a four round postseason tournament.  The final series is a best of seven called the 'World Series'.        The MLB is the second wealthiest professional sports league, generating 10.32 billion in 2022.  This revenue is generated from broadcast rights, ticket sales, merchandise and sponsorships.  MLB teams are owned by a majority of individual owners, and a few by investment groups.  The MLB does not have a salary cap - instead there is a luxury tax called the "Competitive Balanc

NHL vs EPL Brian Michalik North America's largest hockey league, the National Hockey League, began on November 26, 1917 in Montreal before expanding to the United States in the 1920s. The NHL operated with the "original six" teams from 1942 to to 1967 and now contains 32 teams in Canada and the United States. The NHL is an unincorporated nonprofit association governed by the Constitution of the NHL. The governance and management structure is made up of the Board of Governors containing a representative of each team who votes to establish league policies and to appoint the commissioner. The NHL is made up of several different ownership structures, such as individual owners, investment groups, and publicly traded corporations. League-wide revenues are distributed evenly among the teams while local revenues are kept by each team.
